Joined as Probationary Junior Supervisor. The work involved was execution of surface Preparation and application of Protective Coatings. I was confirmed in service within 6 months with enhanced Salary benefits.

1981 – Middle of 1984

I continued to serve as supervisor, executed several main project works and rose to the rank of Site-in-charge.

Later half of 1984

Started own business – a sub-contract company named Excel Enterprises.

4.

1986

Planned and executed major Surface Preparation and painting job “Heera” Offshore Process Platform at Bombay High for Oil and Natural Gas Corporation of India as a subcontractor to M/s. Metal Works (Poona) Pvt. Ltd.

5.

1987-1991

A joint venture project with M/s. Metal Works (Poona) Pvt. Ltd. on back to back basis on terms with that of Mazagon Dock Ltd.

6.

1992

For expansion, the name and style of company changed to M/s. Excel Coatings & Consultants for providing Marine / Industrial services and became a turnkey Prime Contractor for M/s. Mazagon Dock Ltd. Mumbai (Bombay) for Surface Preparation and Protective coatings to ships offshore structures and industries.

1992

My company M/s. Excel Coatings & Consultants was the first to carry out the exacting work of application of SPC painting system in Mumbai on under water Hull of ship.

1992

My company introduced for the first times in Mumbai the environmentally safe blasting abrasive “ Copper Slag “.

9.

1992 - 1999

My company executed many projects for M/s. Mazagon Dock Ltd., Indian Navy, Dempo Engineering Works Pvt. Ltd., Goa, Chowgule & Company Ltd. Goa, International Shipwrights, Mumbai ( for Shipping Corporation Of India vessels at Mumbai Harbour and Dry Docks ) and for other customers, various types of surface preparations and application of protective3 coating jobs as a Turnkey contractor.

2000

My company introduced for the first time in India Ultra High Pressure Water Jetting Pump Pressure up to 40,000 p.s.i., imported from U.S.A. for replacing hazardous dry abrasive blasting process and for other industrial cleaning requirements.

2002

My company introduced first time in India the eco-friendly Blasting Abrasive Coal Slag in M/s. Chowgule & Company Ltd., Goa.

12.

2002 - 2003

Successfully executed a very prestigious turnkey Maintenance Painting Contract of Offshore Platforms for M/s. Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited worth 190 Million, MOU with M/s. Arcadia Shipping Ltd. (for logistics like work boat etc.) at Mumbai High Offshore field in which our share is Rs. 52 Million (period Nov. 2002 to April 2003).

1992 - 2004

My company still continues as the sole contractor for several organization and application of protective coatings.
